Kaitlyn Fargo of Tierra Linda wanted to show how to share her Google Calendar on her Classroom Website.  Thank you Kaitlyn!

After you have logged into your Google account, go to Google Calendar. Once in Google Calendar, you have to:

  1. Find “My Calendars” on the left hand side of the page and click the drop down arrow to the right and select “Create new calendar” \
  2. Once directed to the new page where you can set up your Calendar, you have to select “Share this calendar with others” – this will auto select “Share this calendar with everyone in the organization PLEASANT VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT”
  3. Select “Make this calendar public”
  4. Once you have configured all of the settings, select “create calendar”

To share on your classroom website, you have to:

  1. Go back to “My Calendars” and click the drop down arrow to the right of the calendar you want to share
  2. From the menu that appears, select “Calendar settings”
  3. Scroll down to “Embed this calendar” and to the right select “customize the color, size, and other options”
  4. On this page, you will be able to view and edit your calendar. When finished, copy the HTML at the top of the page and paste it onto your classroom website. From here you can exit out of Google and your calendar will appear on your website. Whenever you make changes to your calendar, it will automatically update!
